I just did a little testing on my laptop. It seems that my issue may indeed be oddly driver-related. My desktop, where I have the issue, is using special 360 controller drivers called XBCD. They allow for customisation of just about everything, including the controller deadzones, turning the trigger...

None of them ran on my 32-bit machine. Yes, I actually tried the 64-bit build just for fun. :P

I have a similar problem, but with the Xbox 360 wired gamepad. It's detected in 4DO 1.2.0.1, but it doesn't recognise whenever buttons are pressed on the gamepad.
