just a guess, the USB port on your system, is it 2.0?
Check your "Device Manager" in Windows and make sure the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" is closed and does NOT have any exclamation points or other problems.

Hello, i'm new to this and just joined so I'm not able to help much, sorry, but 640x480 (standard NTSC) is the default resolution of the system and I think the smaller rez you are looking for is only done through this emulator
