I heard that even with a real 3DO, that some games will format the NVRAM correctly when it is empty while others will just complain about bad NVRAM. I think NFS is one that complains. Sounds like it may have to do with the "requires elevation" problem. I'm afraid I still don't know the root cause of this issue in 1.3.2.1, but I'll surely figure it out soon! The good news is that 1.3.2.1 just adds the file browser. Unless you want to extract files from games, 1.3.2.0 isn...

Excellent! Great fix! I'm quite happy to remove the compilation hack once and for all! I'll have this checked into the core code today.
