Re: Scalelines?
Hiya Jester.
Do you mean "scanlines"? The effect that makes the video look more like an old CRT television?
I didn't have specific plans for those, but I at least know the basics of how to go about it and can keep them in mind.

Re: Xbox port
Also, regarding multi-task mode, I'm pretty certain that non-multi-task mode involves processing 1/60th of a second of data (which may be several visible "lines" on the screen). Multi-task mode should process until the final line is processed. If you're not seeing that behavior, it's possi...

Re: Xbox port
I'm not too concerned about the speed of the HLE code, moreso in trying to extract the data needed to load games' resources and get them to render in directx. So far it's proved to be a royal PITA. :) I'll bet it is! Some good news is that it may be more doable than I originally thought... The Free...

Re: Cannot Launch 4DO
Just to clear this up, I have never actually had to install the full sdk of slimdx, just the full sdk install of microsoft's .net 4.0 . There is a bug in slimdx that in some certain circumstances it requires the full .net 4.0 install as opposed to the client install version. When this occurs, the s...

Re: Xbox port
Ah, I should clarify that the HLE ARM core you're probably looking at (unless you've gone back in SVN history) is largely the same as the FreeDO core. After I'd gotten my 4DO ARM working (on non-OS games like the sonic sample you may know about), Altmer gave me his ARM emulation code in full to help...

Re: DirectX use in 4DO
Thanks for the help incrediclint. It's sobering to find that the solution I've coded up there isn't too crazy. It sounds like I won't need to make many changes there. I noticed that the two triangles created a slight visual glitch. If you scale the 4DO window (and don't snap to clean increments), yo...

Re: Xbox port
I would need to understand a bit more about the "graphics folio" to help make sense of how much performance you could squeeze out of things by offloading things to a hardware graphics. It would definitely be a shame if the hardware just can't handle it. I would think there's enough horsepo...

Re: Crash n Burn, any luck?
Hello!
Sorry, I have heard that Crash 'n Burn doesn't play on 4DO, but I haven't tried it myself.

Re: Cannot Launch 4DO
It's definitely an issue of loading SlimDX as a dependency. As usual, double-check what you have installed... It is also possible that 64 bit machines will see this even with the correct version of SlimDX installed. I think Bry noticed this as well. In this situation, installing the "SlimDX SDK...
