Re: 1.3.1.1 Beta - Core updates

phpBB seems to let me attach larger files than most users. I'll try to track down that setting later, but for now I've uploaded revision 2 to the first post.

Re: 1.3.1.1 Beta - Core updates

Hm, I'm not sure. I'd leave it up to Bry who I've entrusted with good Wiki know-how! I think the BIOS-specific problems are pretty uncommon and the comments field may be a good catch-all for that. For example, some of the games say "requires rom2". This is true. I more or less meant for t...

Re: 1.3.1.1 Beta - Core updates

Good to know. I always launch from scratch so that may have helped me catch this particular problem. Every game I submitted to the wiki was done with the FZ-1 BIOS with no ROM2. If you include another column to the table we can go back and include what system was used and if ROM2 was enabled if you...

Re: 1.3.1.0 Video Driver Crashing

Okay, I'm guessing it's a pretty generic error then. I don't know a lot about DirectX, but I'm guessing the app is supposed to gracefully handle giving up the video device during operation. I think the task manager problem has been around a while (I vaguely rememeber hitting it a long time ago). I'l...

Re: 1.3.1.1 Beta - Core updates

Oh man, I tested tons of the games on the list but I don't know what bios I was using. I know I've switched a few times since then too. By the way, should it ever be relevant, the save states in 4DO are a complete copy of the RAM and this includes the BIOS. If you do Console->Reset, the users' selec...

Re: 1.3.0.1 beta - HQX Filter Test

Oh, the tabs were supposed to be "Display A", "Display B", and "Advanced". Thanks for spotting that, and I've got it fixed. My meticulous nature knows no bounds. I have also fixed the CPU setting not being able to set back to 100% exactly. The solution is not entirely i...

Re: 1.3.1.0 Video Driver Crashing

The crash concerns me for sure. I'd like to try to solve it now before I forget about it and it escapes into obscurity. Can we ensure that the driver crash Bry sees is the same that l_mcgregoruk? If Bry can recreate it the same way as l_mcgregoruk, then I'd imagine that they are the same crash as lo...

Re: Per Game NVRAM

I run into the NVRAM size problem a lot. I'd considered this idea back when early Johnny was banging stones together and figuring out how to use the FreeDO core. Similarly, I'd wondered about saving the NVRAM into the save states, which currently doesn't happen. Technically speaking, save states wor...

1.3.1.1 Beta - Core updates

This version includes core fixes from Viktor. Several of the game-specific fixes have been eliminated, meaning the core emulation is now more accurate! :) I have created a wiki page to track the testing of these "special" mode games: http://wiki.fourdo.com/index.php?title=1.3.1.1_Test So f...

Re: 1.3.0.1 beta - HQX Filter Test

Oh okay. I wasn't expecting that anybody would get time for testing until tomorrow. I'd found no problems either, so I'll release it tonight. Thank you very much for your time and help! The performance problems bother me a bit, even though I am convinced the performance is not worse than before. Eve...
