Hello!

The last version of this fantastic piece of software was dated September 2013. Would it be possible for the developers to share what they've been working on since then?

I am curious about what other improvements could be done in order to make 4DO the ultimate 3DO emulator!

Source hasn't changed since sept 2013 either.

Unless some work has been done in private (I wouldn't think so), I don't think any work has been done. I only say this from looking at the source page though. 4DO is open source so anyone is welcome to modify or make fixes.
