Also, regarding multi-task mode, I'm pretty certain that non-multi-task mode involves processing 1/60th of a second of data (which may be several visible "lines" on the screen). Multi-task mode should process until the final line is processed.
If you're not seeing that behavior, it's possible you're using it differently than 4DO is. That code is in GameConsole.cs and it's got a few comments sprinkled in about which functions and which callbacks get used in either mode. I don't entirely remember how I uncovered that info, other than that it was rather unintuitive.

He will when the next version is ready. I hear he is pretty busy right now with things in his life. It's a busy time of year right now for most people. With some patience, in due time there will be another version.
