I had trouble on my main computer but got the new version of 4DO to work. I don't remember how.
Now on different wiped clean computer with XP i crash. So I unzipped the latest 4do version since copying the directory over didn't work...., service pack 3, framework 4.0 that was shown in these forums and i have direct 9.0c and also Visual C++. I don't know what my computer is missing
I thought the installer was supposed to install all needed to load the program...(i have the bios)
it seems i have that slim problem?? it says slim does not load.

maybe i need c++ 2005 or 2010x64?

I only have 2010 c++ x86 on the other computer

maybe framework 4.5.1?
i have no clue

is there a slimdx.dll in your folder? If so, good. If you installed slimdx from their website, uninstall it. It will put a file in your windows folder and it will use that instead of the one in your 4DO folder. If it's not the same version of the dll that the emulator is expecting, it will error out.

This is all I can think of if you did use the most recent version of the 4DO installer. If it's not, then there has to be something else. Are you getting anything in the 4DO log file?
