I'm trying to use .iso files with 4do but I keep getting "The game file [game] failed to load. Please choose another." with every single file. I've tried mounting images on a virtual drive but that doesn't work either.
The games load properly on freedo 2.1.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Game failed to load
Re: Game failed to load
Did you correctly setup the BIOS file? Do you see the BIOS running when you start 4DO?

Yes, I can see the 3do graphic. I tried with several different bios loaded but still no game image will load in 4do.
Unless there is something more you do to setup bios beyond selecting it?

Re: Game failed to load
Are you sure nothing else is trying to access the isos at the same time as 4DO?
I know from testing just now, if I load an .iso in 4D0, then run an earlier build of 4DO and try to open the same .iso, it gives that message(since the newer 4DO is using it)

Re: Game failed to load
I'm having the exact same problem. I can't load any games at all, however FreeDo will run the same games with the same BIOS file.
Just to make sure nothing else was accessing the file, I did a fresh reboot and tried again with no luck.

Cd Image Loading is broken in 1.3.2.1, probably because of the new extract feature, that's why people are getting error loading games, the error is probably related to iso/bin format/block (MODE1/2048), making the emulator not identifying the .bin file as a image from 3do cd. Stick to version 1.3.2.0 in the meanwhile, if your having troubles.

Reverting to 1.3.2.0 fixed it! It's working perfect now! Thanks!

Reverting to 1.3.2.0 also worked for me. Well, it worked after fixing the "requires elevation" error:

I just had an idea. I uninstalled 1.3.2.0 and reinstalled 1.3.2.1, then did what it said in the link above about changing the ownership (even though I get no error when starting the 1.3.2.1 version of 4DO). Now version 1.3.2.1 is loading games too!

Are you noticing any difference between 1.3.2.0 and 1.3.2.1? Unless there's a big improvement, I'll leave well enough alone.
Re: Game failed to load
Sounds like it may have to do with the "requires elevation" problem. I'm afraid I still don't know the root cause of this issue in 1.3.2.1, but I'll surely figure it out soon!
The good news is that 1.3.2.1 just adds the file browser. Unless you want to extract files from games, 1.3.2.0 isn't missing any features.
